iPad the must have business product of 2010?

There is nothing new about Tablet computing. The Amazon Kindle has been a much sort after item for a few years now. But here’s where the comparisons will end. The Kindle in its present form looks like a bulky Black & White TV compared to the Apple iPad with it's new shiny new Colour flat screen. The Kindle is now dead in the water.
Here's what they look like side by side.


So how does Apple intend to take touch Tablet computing to the masses?
The 2010 computer user is way more tech savvy than say the 2007 computer user. How I hear you say?
Look around you. Every day you see people in the train, airports, shopping centres, cars and coffee shops using touch screen technology in the form of an iphone one of the worlds most successful and widely used smart phones. Chances are you or someone close to you is an Apple iPhone evangelist. Apple has seeded a whole new generation of computer users to understand and demand this colour light weight stylish touch screen tablet computing. It has revolutionised mobile fast at your finger tips computing. It’s already here and you’re using it without probably ever thinking about it in the mini form. The iPad is the iPhone and iTouch big brother.
So when the iPad is officially available in stores millions of consumers around the world will know how to start using the iPad straight away. It will be one of the must have products of this next decade. Think of the possibilities…….
Here are just some of the top of my head in a business sense.
• Mobile email and messaging (especially when 3G model arrives later in 2010)
• Web surfing and client website research
• Video calls (especially when 3G model arrives later in 2010)
• On the run research and meeting preparation
• Study readings
• Cloud computing client video and slide presentations (no Flash)
• Fast Video presentations and applications (especially when 3G model arrives later in 2010-no Flash)
• The list is limitless especially when you take into account the thousands of apps that will enhance the iPad
• Our advice for business is wait until the iPad 3G is available and watch worker productivity and client business revenue soar.
