Telstra Ultimate USB broadband

Telstra announced the new Ultimate USB broadband it uses dual channel HSPA+ to deliver theoretical speeds of up to 42Mbps, and more realistic real world stated speeds of between 1.1-20Mbps. This can bring big benifits for streaming video, interactive web applications & fast surfing on the net.
Let's hope it this product doesn't suffer the many problems that dogged the much hyped Turbo 21 series lemon. This product really hurt Telstra credibility. If you would like to no more just read some of the earlier blogs and readers comments, it was a disaster.
While we the business public welcomes new innovations to mobile broadband download speeds we are disappointed to learn the upload speeds have not been improved upon. Why is this the case? Do Telstra not understand uplinks speeds are also vitally important for businesses in 2010 and beyond?
Also at this stage it appears to be linmited to CBD and some country areas. At the time of writing this blog the area availability checker was not working on the offical Telstra Ultimate page.
Maybe someone from Telstra would like the right to reply. If so feel free to enlighten us and win back Webtrons and our readers confidence in their new USB mobile broadband products?
