Name of Webtron

The name of Webtron is combination of our business – ‘Web’ and our vision – ‘Tron’.

Web

We are a new age company with a focus on web business, from strategy, website design to virtual video technology, almost everything we do is about the web. Therefore the word ‘web’ is incorporated into our company identification.

Tron

The word of ‘Tron’ is inspired from a movie and cult classic produced by Steve Lisberger in 1982. Lisberger when seeing video games for the first time, he was immediately fascinated by them and wanted to do a film incorporating them.

Lisberger was quoted as saying:

"I realized that there were these techniques that would be very suitable for bringing video games and computer visuals to the screen. And that was the moment that the whole concept flashed across my mind."

At Webtron, we see a similar picture for the future of the Internet. Where people and business merge into one and become part of a interactive video web community. Our life has been dramatically changed by Web 2.0 technology – YouTube, myspace, Twitter, LinkedIn…they have become part of our lives.We see that Web 2.0 technology can be applied to many businesses, to help them better communicate with customers, generating new business or increasing brand recognition.

The Web is changing and the change will be no more dramatic than in the next couple of years as Webtron replaces static words and pictures with more interesting and user created dynamic content.
